Mom

Once when I was little, I was complaining that there was nothing to do. Mom got very serious and looked me straight in the eye and said that there was SO MUCH to do, all the time. And then she started listing things—going for a walk, drawing a picture, weeding the garden, reading a book, etc… I don’t think I’ve really ever been bored since.

I really miss her, but boy am I lucky that I had her in my life.
