It was too nice of a day to be inside and watch a movie but that’s exactly what a group of us did. Luckily, the movie was solid.
Rocketman felt more like a stage musical than Bohemian Rhapsody’s performance based approach. There is also an underlying hook telling Elton’s story here that lent an extra layer of gravitas to the story. Overall? Not as risqué as I expected, favored the subject matter a bit too much, but totally entertaining.
