We decided to gather folks and celebrate. Actually they did all the hard work, we just showed up and were thrilled to see everyone.
It was early enough in the evening that a nightcap afterward would not have been out of the question, but consensus was unanimous that going back to our homes was more appealing. We’re not too old for nightcaps, but we’re wise enough to know when to play that card. (Also, temps were about to dip below freezing.)
