A loop in Caesar Creek State Park

Holiday planning texts turned into a seredipitous fall hike up at Caesar Creek State Park.

Enjoyed fine weather on the Fifty Springs Trail while trying to identify trees with our phones. The technology failed most of the time indicating photos contained “Plant.”

We repeatedly tipped our hats to folks participating in a “6 hours of power” trail run where they circle the trail as many times as possible within a six hour window).

We completed a single loop in 2 hours.

And it was lovely.

My friends let me drive their Ford F-150 on the way back and I was surprised how composed it was on the road. Mind you, this was not a pimped out model, no crazy lifted suspension, it even had cloth seats (which I find preferable).

I didn’t know what to expect, but whatever I road manners I had in mind were exceeded β€” which shouldn’t be surprising as the F-Series is the number one vehicle in the country.

Had some mid-barbecue after the hike. I wasn’t ready to turn over the keys afterward so I got more time behind the wheel on the way home.
