With a Halloween party on the horizion we needed ideas. Cappell’s downtown had some fine options. A place I used to rent a Victorian getup for prom back in high school was closed for good.
So it was off to Spirit Halloween in the burbs!
Sidenote: Spirit Halloween was founded by Joseph Marver who deftly utilized short term leases and capitalized on the growing popularity of Halloween goods. He eventually sold the business to Spencers Gifts in 1999.

I didn’t pull the trigger on any costumes this day, but I did find some of the selection curious.
Oh, because every company must grow, get ready for Spirit Christmas stores coming soon to a shuttered strip mall near you.
