Chvrches brought synchronized LED lights and smoke machines to the Madison Theater in Covington Kentucky. Unfortunately the latter set off fire alarms and everyone had to exit to the street while the fire department sorted things out.
Cut to a chunk of time later, we were let back inside and the band hit the stage. Couple things:
- I need to find new ways to articulate that things are solid or awesome. The music was great.
- The lighting rigs were mesmerizing—a perfect accompaniment. Coupled with the smoke it felt like a living airbrush painting sometimes. I want to make some graphically designed lights akin to this someday.
Bonus? A song from the Electric Dreams soundtrack played before the band took stage.
