I’m sad the Observation Deck of Carew Tower is no longer open to the public. It was one of the first places I’d take visitors to get a sense of the city. Cincinnati’s original skyscraper is slated for redevelopment into apartments. Who knows what will come of it.
Old haunts like the Netherland Plaza bar (pictured above) are required stops, along with the Contemporary Arts Center, Fountain Square and simply walking around downtown. Had an excellent lunch at Mid City Restaurant to round out the morning.
