For lunch we completed another item on a (largely subjective) National Dishes of the UK list:
- Roast beef and Yorkshire pudding
- Scone with clotted cream
- The full English breakfast
- A Curry
- Fish and chips
- Shepherd’s pie
The fish and chips were pretty lackluster today, and though vinegar helped it couldn’t make up for uncooked breading.
We’ve yet to have Shepherd’s pie this trip, but there’s still time.
Unrelated: Spied a VW ID. Buzz (cargo version) in the wild along the way. Upon closer inspection I got a chuckle from the headrest adornments.
