Dropped off posters earlier at The Woodward Theater, hugged Kyle and the band with quick hellos before soundcheck.
Came back later to meet up with Tom and Wendy for dinner. Tom had insight about the setlist from the show up in Dayton last night and I shushed him. I wanted to be surprised on this, the second show of Kim Deal’s tour.
I know it’s early in the year, but this will easily be a favorite concert of 2025.
The band was tight. I loved the addition of strings, horns and backup singers. The setlist included new songs and favorite deep cuts from The Breeders — everything swirling around in some dreamy state of happening.
