It probably makes little sense to celebrate a major dental procedure with corn syrup, but here we are.
I’d been dreading this root canal for some time. But the Oral Surgeon and assistant put me at ease best they could and talked through every step to assuage fears.
It was nowhere as bad as I imagined.
I’d be regulated to soft foods for the afternoon and on a whim I picked up these Fancy Cakes because I had been obsessing over them for some time. (They turned out to be very good, but also weird.)
NOTE: It says CAKES 5 times on the front of the package.

They’re like shelf stable versions of Pepperidge Farm’s Vanilla Layer Cake but with an odd lingering oily mouth feel!
