A waning gibbous moon rose while we enjoyed Vampire Weekend at The Andrew J Brady Music Center ICON Festival Stage at Smale Park.
The band was great despite the packed-like-sardine density and bad sight lines of this venue with the long name.
Instead of a classic encore they’ve been taking requests from the crowd, the only catch? They don’t take Vampire Weekend requests and improvise tracks by other artists instead. They usually don’t make it very far and it’s all fun and good. Tonight they attempted songs by The Beatles, Spin Doctors, Deee-Lite, Tom Petty, Crowded House and Harry Styles. (Setlist)
