Met up with Kathryn and Terry over a fine meal at a shared favorite restaurant (Mita’s). We filled the table with plates and a dollop of good news. Closed out the evening with a performance of Mamma Mia! at the theater. I’d never seen the musical IRL, just the movies.
It rolled along getting better and better. By the ending it was downright jubilant in the theater.
My only complaint was the program… I missed the switch from classic yellow Playbill to this Encore business. I’m not the only one taken aback (Reddit link). Turns out, it’s likely another casualty of a drop-off in print advertising — cruises and face-lifts get more bang for the buck on social media.
