First time seeing a show at the ICON Festival Stage tucked between sports stadiums down on the Ohio River.
Originally Noah Kahan was going to play inside, but tickets sold out fast with the venue’s capacity at 4,500 — much too small to contain a TikTok hit (Stick Season). The outdoor stage accommodates 8,000 and also sold out quickly. (I’d say the odd shaped field comfortably holds 6,500.)
The Reds would provide a backdrop of intermittent fireworks kicking off a series with the Braves while Noah played through his set of folk-pop-with-a-tinge-of-rock set.
Most everyone knew every word.
Merch was on Instagram point.
It was all lovely, save for poor sight lines if you didn’t want to sardine.
Oh and the Reds eked out a win, extending a 12 game streak. I only know this because the spotlight has been hot since Joey Votto is back and Elly De La Cruz joined the ranks.
