It’s true. There I was on YouTube trying to figure out how to use my bike—it had been that long since I took it for a ride. In my defense, shifting these Shimano gears is not intuitive, at all. It’s almost like the secret swipe functions of modern mobile apps.
After a watching a handful of videos with too long intros and bad info, I gave up and accidentally found the mechanism a few minutes later.
Riding felt great. I shall do it more. (Also? It was also 70 degrees.)
The weirdest part was feeling air on my bald scalp through the helmet. I guess I’ve lost a lot of hair since the last ride.
