Not only did this day include a swim at the pool, it included Eli’s Barbecue with my friend Heather who was sporting one of the Mother Tattly’s I designed.
Plus also? The Todi Toys sign was still up just down the block from the BBQ joint. We’d make a special trip to this place every once in a great while with mom to buy favors for parties or parades. It was magical. If you’ve been to Cappel’s you get the idea of what was in store.
