Helsinki

We only had an afternoon in the capital of Finland, so we crammed in as much as we could.

Adam will be flying from St. Petersburg to Frankfurt, but the rest of us are taking a detour to Finland.

The Finnish-operated Allegro train leaves St Petersburg at 6:40 and is about half an hour’s journey from the apartment. We have second class seats and will be sitting across from each other.

This is an Italian-built high speed train; it arrives in Helsinki at 9:16, where we can stash our luggage at the train station. Museums, shopping, and (likely) the LinnanmΓ€ki amusement park should open starting at 10:00, giving us plenty of time and opportunity to see something of Helsinki before reuniting at the train station in time to get the 16:10 bus to the airport.
