A year of looking back

Today marked the final day of revisiting 20 years of daily photos. The process began with a few minutes each morning and expanded, sometimes to hours, as I dug into many summers and autumns that had been skipped over.

So many photos tucked away…

At some point I switched up my approach and spent the morning finding all the snapshots with potential that hadn’t been published. I’d copy them to a new directory with folders for each month, and then add the date and a short title to each.

All said and done? Those folders contain 4193 photos. I posted at least 1 each day, so there’s a lot of surplus. I hope to loop back on those extras someday, but that is not for now.

To close out this ritual, I wrote a letter to my sister — Dear Robin.
