Made time to connect

I was meeting an online friend IRL at Rhinegeist and marveled at how the brewery’s Big Ass Fans moved air around amazingly well. A week later I’d notice they also have these big fans at Riverbend and they’re even more impressive there.

We only had time for one drink this afternoon, but crammed in as much of our offline stories as possible in the window before parting with the goal that next time? Next time we’ll make time for more than one drink.

Side note: Rhinegeist offers but doesn’t produce any non-alcoholic drinks. They’re usually ahead of the curve on such matters.

I hobbled back to my car afterward. Oh wait, I forgot to mention the ball of my left foot is being super annoying (painful) these past few days. I think I WAY overdid it at the pride parade.

This malady has nothing to do with bike riding, I am certain.

All this said? I’m glad I got out and made time to connect. I feel sharing our stories helps identify what we care about, the path we hope to travel, new tangents we hadn’t considered and most importantly? Kindred spirits along the way.
