BeReal is silly, but I like the ridiculous premise of a social app that encourages everyone to take a photo at the exact same random time throughout the day.
Invariably, I’m always at my desk when the prompt arrives, but whatever — one can dream of more interesting days.
Aside from this premise, the app also has a handful of “RealMojis” baked in that you can customize with a selfie. This small set of emoji include: thumbs up, happy face, surprised face, crying while laughing and smiling face with heart-eyes.
Today I was all set to make the latter and totally got one of the paper hearts sideways.
I’m sticking with it because mistakes are better.
