This is the second movie I remember seeing in a theater and it left an impression. The color palette alone was enough to sear into consciousness. So vibrant and not of Ohio.
I never paid much mind to Popeye the cartoon, but the characters came to life with song here and all the makeup and costumes were well done (though I wouldn’t be able to pinpoint that til later in life.)
