Okay with tartar sauce

Growing up I’d always scrape off the world tri-state famous tartar sauce on a Big Boy because I thought it was gross and associated it with fish.

Even back then I wouldn’t do a special order and ask for them plain because I feared someone in the kitchen would be mad at me and deface my meal in some way.

I’ve since learned to tolerate and maybe even enjoy the tartar sauce.

A short list of things I also loathed as a child but now tolerate or enjoy greatly: Beer, coffee, brussels sprouts, broccoli, spinach, raw tomatoes, onions, dressing-that-is-not-thousand-island and fish.
