Tonight, I had a plan.
I’d seen a post about an art opening at Indigo Hippo with a piece by Ciara LeRoy that hit me. I wanted to go to there.
Plus, there were FotoFocus events at the Art Academy of Cincinnati.
There was also a concert with the band Why? at the Woodward Theater, which inspired scheduling a dinner with friends.
All of these things within a few blocks.
What wasn’t on the agenda was the remnants of Hurricane Helene. This weather system would cause tremendous havoc across the Southeastern United States. For us, it meant rough driving conditions and lots of cancellations.
We did manage to make it to the Art Academy, soaked and pressed for time. I did get to chat briefly with Taylor Dorrell and catch a glimpse of Jon Medina and Cody Perkins — all incredible artists.
Darted between raindrops to catch dinner with Glenn and called it a night.
Above — a piece by Tomiko Jones from Deeply Rooted.
