Crowded House in concert

I’ve been extremely lucky to have seen oodles of concerts over the years. But there’s always a lingering bucket list of shows. That list would include (checks iPod) ABBA, Fiona Apple, Crowded House, Oingo Boingo, OMD, Pet Shop Boys, Neil Young and XTC to name a few. (I know, I’m stuck in the past and many of these acts won’t happen unless holograms are involved.)

Finally caught Crowded House at Rose Music Center in Dayton, Ohio.

This Gravity Stairs tour included Neil Finn and Nick Seymour from the original lineup, along with Neil’s sons Liam and Elroy with Mitchell Froom on keys. (Mitchell’s name was instantly familiar. He produced some incredible albums over the years, including the first three from Crowded House.)

I super enjoyed the setlist that spanned their career, went off in lovely tangents (and jams!) with extra delight by their onstage banter. It’s clear these gents are having fun, as did I.

So far, this has been my favorite concert of the year.
