Popped over to Madisonville for the grand opening / sneak peak of Mid-Century Modern Rescue. I’d been following Jeff Molski’s restorations on his Instagram account and was thrilled he found a space to bring it all together.
I was drawn to the Thermos collection above and thought how cyclical things are, immediately recalling the recent SNL skit about Big Dumb Cups. The joy I get from these designs is the same feeling someone might get from a YETI tumbler / Owala Freesip / Hyrdroflask / Brand of the moment.
Back to the goods: This modified RCA Victoria entertainment cabinet with modern TV (Instagram link) is a thing of beauty.
I could easily spend an entire day there. You’ve got me reminiscing about those thermoses in our lunchboxes. I always think of my mom packing me soup in mine.
I feel compelled to start bringing soup to work with me now. (I’d kind of forgotten about how we used them!)
