The Baker’s Table

I did it again, taking pictures of a space but didn’t capture any people. When am I going to learn?

Tonight was another bucket list restaurant called The Baker’s Table in Newport, Kentucky which came highly recommended. They source locally and produce almost everything in-house from bread to the pasta and even handle their own butchering.

I thought the place felt familiar with its garage door running across the front—turns out I’d been here in 2014 when it was Packhouse.

Things kicked off with their warm sourdough bread and it was incredible and kept up from there. My only regret was ordering too much — should’ve swapped steak in favor of the autumn vegetable dish and skipped dessert altogether. All that said? Thumbs up all around will return.
