I only saw the Chopped Italian Sandwich scroll by once on social media and immediately stopped, added all the ingredients to the grocery list and moved on.
It is among a long list of viral recipes that include Marry Me Chicken (hopefully a gift link), carrot bacon (YouTube), pizza soup (TikTok), well heck, here’s an entire viral recipe listicle on Taste of Home that shifts around as you scroll while ads pop up.
Anyway, the Chopped Italian Sandwich from that recipe above was awesome and silly easy to make by just chopping up lettuce, red onion, meats, cheese, banana peppers, mayo, red wine vinegar, olive oil and Italian seasoning. It was elevated to extra-awesome by toasting a sub roll.
The secret to sandwiches at home is going the extra mile with seasoning, vinegar and/or toasting—it adds up quickly. Sometimes in a rush I’ll skip those important bits and just have an okay sandwich.
After lunch and work we took a long walk and saw this old car.
