Just finished Cheryl Strayed’s Tiny Beautiful Things, now a Hulu Original Series, and boy did I dog ear a lot of these advice column letters and replies.
Many of them are about acceptance and forgiveness, of others and one’s self. And communication. And letting go. And listening to that voice that knows the problem and solution, but is blocked by fear or any myriad of excuses.
In one instance, it is about poetry.
This poem titled Splittings by Adrienne Rich contains answers to many of life’s challenges and the author recalls the last lines to offer guidance:
I choose to love this time for once
with all my intelligence
How could life be transformed if we make such a choice?
