A walk in the park today, so easy I wouldn’t dare call it a hike. Our only flaw was not hitting the trails earlier as it was a scorcher.
Saw folks ignoring signs to stay on the paths and not go into the creek, a phenomenon we noticed in Hocking Hills. I get miffed by this and shake a fist at the clouds and then wonder, perhaps these children do not have large rocks to displace at home and this is valuable for their growth as humans — this capitulation is always short-lived and did not mar a splendid bit of nature.
(I ran that last paragraph through Hemingway, an app to help clarify language… it rated the last sentence “very poor” yet offered no suggestions for improvement.)
