Popped over to Silverton to grab lunch at Proud Hound cafe. Been wanting to try several things on the menu including the chicken sandwich, patty melt with geotta and some cubed polenta hash browns. Coupled all that with fresh brewed tea on ice and enjoyed it on their patio.
Verdict: SUPER GOOD. Looking forward to going back. (And Proud Hound has some of the best designed coffee packaging and merch around.)
Bonus: Visiting The Book Bus parked outside and chatting with the founder before she packed up for the day — a retired teacher that takes all the profits and buys books for kids in need.
