A weaksauce sticker interpretation of Milton Glaser’s I ❤️ NY to commemorate voting day here in the Buckeye state.
It’s a hyper-local election… Mayor, City Council, a couple tax levies and some initiative that was 6 paragraphs long and with all sorts of hemmin’ and hawin’.
I went because there is much work to do and we can’t ignore our backyard.
I went because I don’t want to throw my hands and give up because politics is gross.
I went because I still like to think we can come together and solve problems.
At a national level, I think we need to stop bundling bills and vote on smaller agendas to prevent standstill.
But what do I know? I’m just a boy, standing in front of a country, asking her to love more.
