Keith Klenowski has been experimenting with tintype photographs in his backyard.
It’s a fascinating process, coating the rectangle of tin with collodial liquid and then silver photographic emulsion. After exposing the plate he develops it right on the spot with a darkroom in a box. A few minutes after the shoot? You’re looking at the photograph.
Amazing.
When showing these images to my mom she lamented I wasn’t smiling. I was on the inside.
