At The Serpent
Used to be, Sundays were the grill-outs over at the leather bar that really isn’t too leathery. This event waned as the local bear group got upset about beer prices or something and moved the shindig downtown. I’m not sure about the politics—it’s best to stand clear of such drama.
But we’ve lost three (gay) bars within the past few months here in Cincinnati, which is sad.
The Serpent just recently expanded their hours to make up for the loss and brought back the Sunday grill-out—though the grill has been replaced by a steam table with footlong wieners.
There also used to be a fine DJ during these days, but he’s long since been replaced by some XM oom-cha oom-cha oom-cha BPM station.
Beer’s cheap though.
Long story short, I went on Sunday. Good beer. Fine folk, but oh so few.
I blame the Internet.
