A one man show, really
« Rewind to Friday. I frantically drove around Columbus after they closed an exit and got my brow sweaty with construction delays. Made it to the theater with just a few moments for introductions before Bob’s show began.
Another very personal piece. Less standup and more character driven than you’d imagine for a one man show. I sat up in the top bleacher next to the fetching ChampDaddy and avoided being pulled on stage for some Time Warp action. *wipes brow* I never did learn the choreography for Rocky horror.
All these talented folks.
Like back in high school, I feel a lot safer behind the scenes and away from the bright lights.
Post-show, a group of journalers ascended upon Macs, a brew pub with surprisingly good vittles in the Short North. Macs used to be a hangout of sorts, when I used to live in Victorian Village and to this day, the Scotch Egg* is stupidly good.
We glommed a few tables together and proceeded to chat and laugh til stores no longer sold beer. Made our way to a hotel and proceeded to throw jabs at the TV.
Overall, a super good night. Folks I’d like more time with.
* Scotch Egg : Hard boiled egg wrapped in sausage lightly breaded and deep fried, served with “special” sauce.
