You can get Limbo on almost any game platform. I suggest one with a controller and not a touch screen. There’s no text, no tutorial – just a lot of vibe. The entire game is in black and white and it creates an atmosphere you don’t see in many games.
It’s a puzzle platformer with some solid scary moments. I’m not great at these sorts of games so I would often have to live through these pearl-clutching scenes over and over until I figured out what to do.
I didn’t know the Playdead game studio before Limbo, and their follow-up game Inside would also become a favorite. I look forward to whatever they produce next.
