Azul

A much needed quiet evening playing card and board games. Easy casual fun? LOOP, the Chicago train card game. A bit more complicated but super fun? Azul, a beautiful board game inspired by Portuguese tiles. Had to keep Floofer out of the wine.

The Favourite

Blurry photo (it was FREEZING) after a quick gift exchange following a viewing of The Favourite—a movie that made me cackle with laughter and conversely aghast by its darkness. Such an excellent film. Highly recommended. Not pictured? A canvas print of Kyle with European Fanta in a gilded frame.

Triple Christmas

I am so very lucky to be surrounded by loved ones who reflect the light she brought into the world. Stop #2 — Independence, Kentucky An excellent photographer, this […]

Another bow

Celebrated Casey’s birthday over a meal with close friends, enjoying the evening so much I failed to snap a photo. Which is a pity, because the lighting at Ché was really flattering. Alas! To living in the moment.

So many things

Dinner with friends, including baby’s first nacho. Celebrating a coworkers birthday for a cool minute. Seeing our panoramas printed next to the original that lives in the library. (Info) In the same room? The smallest book in the library. Off to another friend’s birthday later in the night. Only after I mistakenly went in to […]

Boomtown and Birds

Not only do we have avocado toast in Cincinnati, we also have biscuits served with cocktails, beards and electric scooters. This Sunday I experienced all of them. (Outside of the avocado toast.) I also learned about the brand Grave Before Shave which is a notion I didn’t realize I subscribed. I was worried about the […]
