Made In Ohio

This is where I lay down a big sheet of white paper on the garage floor and shoot new stuff for our store.
We’ve been selling this tee at festivals this summer with great response. Finally I got ’em all online.

The last one spared from the hearty appetite of roaming packs of wild deer.

Along the RiverScape Park

dragon paddleboat loch nesh

The biking is still fun and we keep finding new places to explore.
Dayton is connected to an excellent network of biking trails.
On this day we attempted to bike along the river by the Carillon Park, but
bridge construction kept messing with the flow.

So we packed up and looped around the RiverScape park downtown.
Perfect weather. More photos from my phone are here.

Perfect weather to enjoy the parade. I posted a good handful of photos over in this special Lake Festival Album.

You’d never guess I was at a Celtic Festival

electric

The evening sky, looking through the electric wires that power Dayton buses.

Ice Cream stand

This ice cream stand cast an eerie glow. I was enamored.
Though I tried to get a clean shot, the amount of people was a good thing.

0724-crowd

At this point in the evening, everyone boarded the space ship, fueled by black and tans on tap.

Great Miami River Trail

Great Miami River Trail

So far? The biking thing is awesome.
We have lots of bike trails in the area and tons more in reasonable radius.
I’m learning that riding a bike is not a good mouth breathing exercise.
Bugs.
Totally worth it though.

The Long Count

Went up the street to hear folks workshop some new music.
A pretty organic process was in place, with experiments happening
with knobs and notes scribbled on legal pads.

Cincinnati Transit Map for Optimists

A publication needed photos of our transit map shirt.
This was the only time I picked up the camera that day, but I did like
how the light really brought out the texture of the shirt and ink.

bike ride

The weather has been so nice all summer, I feel ashamed that I haven’t been using my bike.
I remedied the broken handlebars and flat tires yesterday, and hooked up the rack to the car for extra measure.
Dan got the fever after a few loops around the block and bought himself a sweet ride today.
To celebrate we went down to the path by the Little Miami River and did a little 9 mile back and forth.
Man we waited too long. Pouring over maps now and making plans to do this more often.

Chris Glass

It’s been a while since I’ve caught myself on the other side of the lens.
After a harrowing beardcut before my trip to the UK, I finally feel back to normal.

(Editors note: I just found this draft from 2009 and I’m simply moving it to published.)
