What was and what could be

Got the kids to school (that sounds so weird for me) and caught Murphy the cat looking peeved out the window as I packed up my things. Maybe he was waiting for his mom and dad to get home.

They’d be back in the evening.

My duties were done at the farm. It was cake. I left the place with the same amount of humans and animals as before and there were no major catastrophes. (The last time I house sat for Tom and Wendy, I didn’t notice their car was stolen during my tenure. I can’t believe they let me do it again.)

Made the 45 minute commute to Cincinnati and had a tough time trying to figure out what to play on the radio. Such a glorious span of time to consider.

NPR was all impeachment stuff and I still haven’t figured out what kind of podcast garden to plant, so classical music provided the backdrop as the gray January miles rolled by.

This movement from Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No.5 came on and the drive transformed into a peaceful reflection on what was and what could be.
