Joywave at the Mercy Lounge

750 days.

That’s how long it had been since I’d been to an indoor concert.

When Joywave announced their tour one of the closest venues was in Nashville, Tennessee. So we got tickets and were all set to make a weekend of it, but plans shifted and it turned into a 24 whirlwind jaunt instead.

Arrived early and was delighted by an incredible room upgrade thanks to Casey’s reward status. Grabbed solid takeout from The Farm House and timed our walk to the venue with an eye on a rapidly approaching storm front.

Either Nashville isn’t a big Joywave town or the tornado warnings kept the crowd small.

We hung double-masked in the back and enjoyed their set that combined a lot of tracks from the last two albums and Spotify favorites as they put it.
