One of my goals for the house was to remove a couple shelves in the living room (previously) to make way for flat-hanging art. I didn’t think it through very well—behind the shelves were screw holes and unpainted bits.
This inspired a trip to the hardware store to grab some wall putty, sand paper and paint brushes. I was pretty dang proud of my work! You can barely see the remnants of the shelves above the lamp.
Coupled with the addition of some plants, it’s starting to come together.
In other news, Apple announced a new Mac Studio and external display today. In lieu of an updated iMac, this feels like exactly the right computer for my occupation. Admittedly, a laptop would be as good if not better (for flexibility sake), but I like being able to walk away from work.
