Tempering expectations

Be prepared for a red mirage, they said.

With the pandemic, the continued deconstruction of the postal system, challenges to limit mail-in and early voting, the actual mail-in and early voting, the prevention of early tabulation and likely a host of other issues that won’t come to light for years—this Election Day had all the hallmarks to be a clusterfuck.

And it was.

I went over to my brother’s house to check on his dog and this stone was all I wanted to remember.

Don’t get me wrong, it’s not all about being nice.

But it’s a good reset.
