The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis

My friend asked if I’d like to go on a mini-spring break jaunt to Indy and catch the museum and zoo with her son. I tend to say yes whenever possible to these things.

When we got to the Children’s Museum we realized everyone within a thousand mile radius also had the same spring break plans. It was a bit of a madhouse, dense with lots of families and lots of meltdowns in every direction.

We also quickly realized that my friend’s son would actually prefer a natural history museum, for adults. So after the dinosaur section, we ran through the Star Trek exhibit and oooh’d and ahhhh’d at the artifacts and then high-tailed it outta there.

“What’s that spaceship?” I asked Heather. “It’s a space station, not a ship. It’s Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.”
