In the moment

Things have regressed.

There’s denial coming from the very top of our country about racism.

But it’s rearing it’s ugly head in So Very Many Ways.

Watching the march from the Freedom Center to Music Hall on Martin Luther King Day, I felt like the streets should have been packed with supporters.

But this was not a parade.

It was a march.

Next year? I vow not to be simply present, but to be in step.

No more watching from the sidelines.

It’s not enough to capture a moment.

I need to be in the moment.
