I know Olive Garden and Red Lobster are hurting by the fast casualization of foodstuffs, and I want to live in a world where all approaches to restaurateuring can peacefully coexist. But if you told me you were going to open up the Chipotle of Pizza joints, I would immediately line up and become an investor by stuffing my face.
That’s the foundation of Blaze Pizza and I have a feeling it’s going to do really well. Apparently they are opening up like one new store every four days. I just hope they’re a company run with integrity, wherewithal and no exceptionally evil agendas. In the meantime? Extra banana peppers, please.
In other parts of the day, there was a Celtic festival at Washington Park. These events really would benefit from large infographics to help folks understand what exactly does Celtic encompass. I’m going to go out on a limb that it doesn’t include gyros and cream puffs.
