Waking early from the sun reflecting off the neighboring buildings, I realized my hotel room wasn’t one of the dreaded inside rooms that had a view of the makeshift courtyard.
As I gathered my thoughts for the day ahead, I realized it was the anniversary of the World Trade Center tragedy. I had a moment of silence and regarded the skyline before me.
I intentionally kept the news off all day.
