The Neon Museum

I’ve been to Vegas, oh, three times? And I’ve wanted to visit the Neon Museum each trip. Turns out? It’s not that far away from the bustle of the strip. There are two parts: a garden of signs mostly no longer working visible day and night, and an evening experience called Brilliant that brings signs […]

Vegas

Up at 4am to head to Vegas! What you won’t see? Much interior shots of casinos or gambling. I didn’t get that gene, but I dig all the lights and colors. There are a few more photos from the day.

Union Station

Over dinner the previous evening I learned that many movies were filmed in Union Station. Blade Runner was all I needed to hear. My whirlwind trip wrapped up with a bus from this transit hub to the airport, so I woke up early to get there early and walk around. Some areas were blocked off […]

Los Angeles

Northern California

Last day in Northern California. Time to get back home and wrap things up and buckle in. Ashi helps pack. Driving down the mountain. Highway 101 zips by. Stopped for some meatballs and beer along the way.

Finally went out to visit my friend Erik’s boat. Though I didn’t get a good shot of the outside, there was this priest on another boat. Plus also? A few fun interfaces from the inside:

Chinatown

Enjoy looking out the windows on every side out here. Unrelated (but near) Chinatown is the Hustler Club. I felt compelled to take a snapshot because of Larry Flynt’s connection to Cincinnati. (He had clubs throughout the area an in 1976 was prosecuted on obscenity charges by Simon Leis.) Such rabble rousing.
