Cincinnati Streetcar

It’s not here quite yet, but the Cincinnati Streetcar is now testing. The route isn’t entirely thorough, but dagnabbit, it’s a start, and that’s pretty darn exciting.

Crafty Supermarket

Tom and I set up shop at our first proper Crafty Supermarket and WHOA. That was a lot of people (over 6,500) streaming through the doors of Music Hall Ballroom. Luckily everyone was in extra good spirits and we were surrounded by other awesome folks that made the day go by quite nicely. (Don’t get […]

Opening Day Parade

Once again I’m reminded that our parades would benefit from more extravagant floats. But that didn’t diminish the weather and vibe of the Findlay Market Opening Day Parade for the Reds.

Intersections of awesome

Ran into Andrew Neyer at MiCA today. This is an intersection of awesome in my book. I seriously dig and admire all of Andrew’s work, which defies falling neatly into any single category. And Carolyn and Mike have made a wonderful shop that I’m proud to have product in. Things are warming up nicely in the neighborhood […]

Last tiny bit of light

Music Hall

Music Hall and an Espresso Machine

I’ve never taken a good shot of Music Hall before. And I still haven’t. But one of these days the sky and the light will be just right, and I’ll be there. Stopped into the 1215 Wine Bar and Coffee Lab for some caffeine. Left with delicious coffee and fishing tips. Great folks there.

Bad Veins

Bad Veins release party for their new (and very solid) album The Mess We’ve Made. I could tell you how awesome these guys are, but I shall defer to Zan who writes lots better about the matter: Support Your Local Poet. (She also has better photos and does it all classic with real film.)

An evening with The National

At Music Hall this time around, and I enjoyed it muchly. Favorite part was the closing number, Vanderlyle Crybaby Geeks done super unplugged with the crowd singing along. Pretty dang awesome really.
