The day started out catching mascots from around the area play broomball on Fountain Square.
They’re always doing something down there. It’s nice like that.

Then it was over the river to grab lunch in Kentucky. (Above, the Roebling Bridge)

Back to Ohio and drove around The Banks on the river to see how the construction was going.
Passed behind Longworth Hall where WOXY used to be. Miss those folks.

The new Moerlein Lager House is coming along nicely.

Then popped over to the convention center for the Cavalcade of Customs.

Heavily modded cars aren’t usually my bag, but there were some fine specimens.

I’ve got a few hundred more photos, but it’s days like this where they’re so chock full, I get frozen
by the enormity of it all. I’m reminding myself to pick a few, step away, and plow forward.

My friend Kevin swept through town after he visited his family up north for the holidays.
Here he is taking a picture of his food with a mobile phone. When folks come in town,
I visit favorite vistas and haunts, but I never back anything up with historical facts or details.

I need to work on that.

File under foods I crave: Palomino’s Roma Tomato, Basil& Mozzarella Pizza and Chop Chop Salad.

When playing ambassador, I always try and get folks to the top of Carew Tower to survey the cityscape
that is Cincinnati. I used to work in one of the buildings above. It was a great space.

Similar to a favorite photo from 2008, I like how City Hall is a bit more visible in this version.

My personal jury is still out on the new skyscraper. I’ll keep looking it though.

The dresses are great, but these fashion design students at DAAP need to consider the use of type with such displays.

You can bet that if there’s ever a lull on here, it’s because the following day was filled with a ton of photos.

As was the case on this day during the T-shirt Festival down on Fountain Square.

I picked out this flying pig from Alternative Motive, but there are a bunch of snapshots from the day over on our studio blog.

I didn’t take too many photos at Pride this year as I was working our booth, selling tees.
Damn it was hot out there that day.

Speaking of tees, we printed up the shirt above, designed by Brian for the Cincinnati Men’s Chorus.
An honor, really.

Met some folks for the first time.

And saw old friends.

This was the first year that festivities were held downtown instead of Northside.
And though I was concerned it might jeopardize the Independence Day Parade in my favorite area of town,
things turned out pretty darn good. Real good in fact.

Besides, we’re getting a second day to celebrate on August 7, so that makes it go down even easier.

Excellent turnout and success at the second Cincinnati T-shirt Festival.
I’ve a couple hundred photos to whittle down from the long and excellent day.
For now, this poorly framed but colorful image will have to do…
