Went up to Columbus to catch Scream 4 with the fellas. I think I was the least impressed. My mini-review: “Ham-fisted corn syrup.” Went back to Joel’s afterward armed with sacks of White Castles and settled in for videogames, watching his roommates dog hump this bolster between rounds of Mortal Kombat.
I watched a bit of the games, sure, but the main reason I stopped by the 2010 Gay Softball World Series was to see some friends that flew into town for the event. Jam packed fields up in Columbus, filled with friendly faces. And yes, everyone was bearded. (I kid, I kid)
Two shots from the phone at the eXile Bar in Columbus with the inaugural performance of Hairplane! As they’ve been described: “Hairplane! is a tongue-in-cheek lounge act similar to Richard Cheese or Nouvelle Vague, with a Morphine flavor.” I think that sums it up nicely. Dag they were good.
Did you know Ohio is chart topping? We have three cities in the top 10 of bed bug infestations. And of course, this is the only thing I can think of when stepping foot in a hotel these days. Luckily this joint was fine, but still, it’s hard to shake those thoughts.
I highly recommend stopping by Dirty Franks in Columbus Ohio if you like any sort of hot dog. Stopped by here on the way back from Pennsylvania and met up with Joel before splitting ways with the fellas from St. Louis and headin’ home.
Quick visit to Columbus Ohio and hit the nightlife, tried some Jeni’s ice cream (to be exact, three mini scoops of rhubarb rosé, strawberry buttermilk, and belgian milk chocolate), and wrapped it all up with a trip to the Northstar Cafe (excellent breakfast grub) the next morning.
