Sometimes I make adjustments just to make a photo appear more like it really seemed.

And these were the photos I pulled off from February 22.
There is no intended relationship between the images.

The Wildcats lost to the Commodores, but only in score.
UK is still walking away with the less ridiculous team name.

Now I’m a pretty laid back guy, but some things get me really riled up. For example:

- Inconsiderate driving (Tailgating, passing on the right, no signals, text drifting)
- The lack of healthy food in drive-thrus
- Phrases like “Take our country back!” (From what, Democracy?)
- Pennies (Yup, one cent pieces, can’t stand ‘em!)
- Health care costs and paperwork

Now if I could just apply my lack of interest in sports to these matters, I’d be totally and completely mellow.

Above? Some sort of Moog Synthesizer.
I’ve pronounced this brand of device wrong all these years, only to find out it really doesn’t matter, kind of…

Our quartet assembled in a basement and recorded improvisational songs.
Someone threw out a name for the band, “Crystal Memories.”
Though it didn’t really stick, no one came up with anything better.
There were enough tracks to fill an EP.
One was about Epididymitis. Another was about being manly.
I forget what the other ones were called.
This is probably best.

Had a tasty brunch with my mom, and she finally got to peek in the window of Fabricate’s new location.
They have this awesome old Polaroid in the window.

Speaking of instant photos, I’m enjoying Instagram of late, a simple iPhone app that lets you take square
photos, apply some preset filters, and share… very easily.

Here’s a snapshot I took this morning. You’ll likely see again once I download images from my big camera,
fiddle with them, and upload to this album. See? The old fashioned way is complicated.

Then again, I’m probably just smitten by the simplicity and lack of features on this new fangled app.
If (or once) it bloats, then I’ll get bored and fire it up less frequently, or not.

All I know is, I didn’t need another “thing” to check up on, but this one has legs.

Maybe I should’ve just bought this Polaroid.

Caught sight of this belt buckle last Wednesday at the 701 in Covington, but didn’t have my camera handy.
Asked Bob if he’d be back this week so I could take a snapshot.
He followed through and so did I.
Word is, this buckle was worn by one of the Elvis impersonators in the movie Leaving Las Vegas.

One last shot before heading home.
Though I didn’t spend too much time in Toronto, it’s on my list for an extended repeat visit.

The evening sky, looking through the electric wires that power Dayton buses.

This ice cream stand cast an eerie glow. I was enamored.
Though I tried to get a clean shot, the amount of people was a good thing.

At this point in the evening, everyone boarded the space ship, fueled by black and tans on tap.

My friends had a birthday party for their youngest yesterday.
A bit of a miracle that one year old.
I like these friends and don’t see them enough.
Their house is filled with life.
Right out in their front yard is a vegetable garden.
On the day I visited, the back was filled with families and kids running all around.
There was a slip and slide,
tables filled with summery salads,
brownies and cake.
Inside, an activity room had these lunchbag puppets lined up saying, “photograph me!”
