Welcome back, Metrobot

The first website I ever made was for public art in Cincinnati. It’s still up in all its rudimentary glory, with super small and grainy photos snapped on a Sony camera that stored images on floppy disks.

Back in those days, the Metrobot was living outside of the Contemporary Arts Center. Though I distinctly remember it as I waited in the line for the Mapplethorpe exhibit back in high school.

The museum since moved to its new home on sixth and Walnut, and after many years of being in storage, the robot has been polished with updated screens and returned.

I’m glad to see it back.
